  Superstar BEYONCE battled through a secret bout of tonsillitis just one day after kicking off her current world tour.
  The Crazy in Love hitmaker launched The Mrs. Carter Show gigs in Belgrade, Serbia on 15 April (13), but the trek was thrown into jeopardy less than 24 hours later after doctors diagnosed her with the throat infection.
  She struggled through the condition and pressed ahead with her scheduled concerts - and it's only now that she has revealed her health problems to fans after sharing behind-the-scenes footage from her tour online.
  In a short video clip recorded ahead of her show in Zagreb, Croatia on 17 April (13), she says, "I'm actually quite nervous because yesterday I was diagnosed with tonsillitis, (but) hopefully I'll give Croatia a great concert. I'm gonna fight as hard as I can and I know that god has my back and god will protect me."
  The singer's confession could explain why she scrapped a gig in Antwerp, Belgium last week (14May13) due to dehydration and exhaustion after pushing herself a little too hard while on the road.

JACKSON FAMILY LAWYER: 'WRONGFUL DEATH TRIAL COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED'

  MICHAEL JACKSON's family members offered to settle their wrongful death suit against executives at concert promoter AEG Live but never received a response, according to KATHERINE JACKSON's lawyer.
  The wrongful death trial has just entered its fourth week and in court on Tuesday (21May13), Kevin Boyle revealed the whole case could have been avoided.
  Boyle explained his client made an offer to AEG bosses in January and again in March (13), but she was ignored.
  Marvin Putnam, an attorney for AEG, responded, "We don't settle matters that are utterly baseless. We believe that is the case in this matter. I can't see why we would consider a settlement as anything other than a shakedown."
  The Jackson family matriarch and the King of Pop's three children filed suit against AEG bosses, claiming they were negligent in handling the sick pop superstar as they forged ahead with plans for his This Is It comeback concerts in London, ignoring the fact he was seriously ill.

  Rocker NIKKI SIXX took aim at reality TV star KIM KARDASHIAN on Monday (20May13) for promoting her new make-up collection on Twitter.com as Americans used the social networking website to express their sympathies for residents in Oklahoma in the aftermath of the devastating tornadoes.
  The Motley Crue bassist was among the many celebrities who flocked to Twitter on Monday evening to urge locals to stay safe and strong after the natural disaster ripped through a suburb of Oklahoma City, leaving at least 20 people dead and more than 200 others injured.
  But the Keeping Up With the Kardashians beauty appeared oblivious to the tragedy as she advertised her Kardashian Beauty products, writing, "Love that I can gradually build the perfect bronzed glow I want with KardashianSunKissed Tan Extender w/ (with) Bronzers!"
  Her post irked Sixx as he and stars like Katy Perry, Kristen Bell, Pitbull and Ricky Gervais had been using their high-profile accounts to call on fans to donate to the recovery effort.
  A disgusted Sixx took a screen shot of his charity tweet next to Kardashian's and sent it to the TV star, alongside the message: "Pick your priority or pick your poison. Pretty embarrassing screen shot Kim."
  He then took another swipe at her, adding, "Isn't your 15 minutes up..."

  The Standing Still hitmaker started work on the tornado-proof bunker after a storm claimed lives in Granberry, which is close to her home in Steubenville, earlier this month (May13) - and she admits the devastation in Oklahoma has prompted her to get serious about safety.
  She tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live, "We don't usually get tornadoes down this far in Texas... and it's been really unusual that Granberry was hit. I think six or seven people died there, just up the road from us.
