  A U.S. judge has denied rapper M.I.A.'s request to keep her ongoing child custody dispute with her ex-fiance BENJAMIN BRONFMAN behind closed doors.
  The Paper Planes hitmaker has been embroiled in a nasty legal battle with the wealthy music mogul over their four-year-old son Ikhyd ever since they split in 2012.
  In March (13) the British singer, real name Mathangi Arulpragasam, was banned from taking the boy out of the U.S. after Bronfman successfully applied for a restraining order, and now she has been dealt another blow following New York federal court Judge Margo Brodie's rejection of her plea for a private trial.
  According to the New York Post, the 37 year old has also filed new legal documents in support of her bid to take the tot to her native England, citing the 1996 Hague Convention, an international treaty that focuses on child custody, as her main argument. (MC/PYN/KL) HIDE STORY

SLAYER URGE FANS TO IGNORE PROTESTERS AT HANNEMAN MEMORIAL

  Heavy rockers SLAYER have urged fans planning to attend a special memorial for late bandmate JEFF HANNEMAN to pay no attention to religious protesters who have announced plans to picket outside the Los Angeles ceremony.
  Over 4,000 people are expected to flock to the Hollywood Palladium to celebrate the bassist's life on Thursday afternoon (23May13), but they will be greeted by members of the fundamentalist Christian Westboro Baptist Church, who are set to perform a parody of Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train as devotees file into the memorial service.
  However, the surviving stars of Slayer are determined not to give the campaigners the satisfaction of even acknowledging them - and they've encouraged fans to do the same.
  A message posted on Facebook.com reads: "Want to really p**s off the Westboro Baptist Church at Jeff's Memorial Celebration? Do exactly what Slayer members and family are going to do - totally ignore them. They don't exist. And then come inside and celebrate Jeff's life with us."
  Church members have courted controversy in recent years by picketing outside high-profile events, including concerts by Radiohead and Foo Fighters, and using the platform to spread anti-gay and other hateful messages.

  A cryptic new video that appears to announce a new collaboration between the pop stars and Lotus team members has been posted on the car firm's official YouTube.com page.

  BACKSTREET BOYS star NICK CARTER is developing his own reality TV series.
  His untitled docu-series will revolve around the pop star and his fiancee Lauren Kitt as they plan their upcoming wedding, and the project is already winning over executives at several U.S. cable networks, according to reports.
  Carter tells blogger Perez Hilton, "It will also be about the growing up phase of my life."
  And he isn't the only member of the grown-up boyband with his sights set on reality TV - A.J. McLean is desperate to show off his dancefloor skills on U.S. show Dancing With the Stars.
  Bandmate Howie Dorough explains, "The same year that Nick's brother (Aaron Carter) did it (Dancing With the Stars) I was approached about doing it, but obviously couldn't do it because of the fact we were embarking on a new record and touring.
