  Country star BLAKE SHELTON will stage his Oklahoma disaster relief benefit on Wednesday (29May13) in Oklahoma City.
  The Honey Bee singer, who is a state native, jumped into action as he watched footage of the storm, which ripped through the city's suburbs on Monday (20May13), and started assembling the line-up for the show.
  He will headline Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert at Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena, while palsReba McEntire and Vince Gill and his wife Miranda Lambert, who recently helped dispatch mobile pet rescue centres to the town of Moore to help care for injured animals, will also perform.
  Announcing the concert, which will be televised live on various U.S. networks, on Friday (24May13), Shelton said, "Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy. This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."
  Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund.
  Earlier this week (21May13), Shelton and his wife performed their duet of Over You on TV talent show The Voice and dedicated the track to those suffering in the wake of the deadly tornado, which claimed the lives of 24 people. (KL/TVG/KL) HIDE STORY

  Air traffic control officials shut down two runways after an emergency plane landing, and a number of flights were delayed as a result of the chaos.
  Rita Ora, J Cole and Jessie Ware were reportedly among those left stranded with AlunaGeorge, Angel Haze and Rudimental, but they managed to make alternative plans.
  A BBC spokesman says, "Unfortunately, due to the travel disruption affecting Heathrow we've had to cancel a few performances but we've still got an exciting line-up for our audiences."
  Friday night's headliner Calvin Harris did make it to the festival site without any problems and Biffy Clyro, The Vaccines, Bruno Mars, Paramore and Vampire Weekend's weekend sets will not be affected by the travel drama.
  Meanwhile, among those who did manage to make it to the festival on time, rapper Dizzee Rascal wowed fans when he brought Robbie Williams onstage for a rendition of their collaborative single Goin' Crazy. (KL/WNWCII/MC) HIDE STORY

  Singer BILLY JOEL has clarified reports he filed for bankruptcy a few years ago after allegedly going broke.
  The Piano Man was rumoured to have lost millions of dollars in 2010 because of his ex-brother-in-law Frank Weber's poor money managing skills, but Joel has now set the record straight in a new interview with the New York Times Magazine.
  He says, "There was a rumour that I filed for bankruptcy - that never happened. I owed Uncle Sam (the U.S. government) a couple of million bucks in income tax, and the money that I thought was there (in the bank account), wasn't there."
  Joel also addressed speculation he was forced to sell off one of his Big Apple homes to pay off the debts, insisting he simply owned too many properties - two in Manhattan and one under construction in the Hamptons.
  He sold one home to rock star Sting and another the one he was building to comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
  The singer jokes, "I keep exchanging star homes. I bought (Jaws star) Roy Scheider's house. Mickey Drexler (retail tycoon) bought my old place in Martha's Vineyard (Massachusetts). I'm the realtor to the stars." (MC/WNWNT/KL) HIDE STORY
