  On/off couple JUSTIN BIEBER and SELENA GOMEZ were the toast of the inaugural Social Star Awards in Singapore on Thursday (23May13), taking home two of the new prizegiving's top trophies.
  The event, co-hosted by Jessica Alba and Jeremy Piven, celebrated the superstars of the social networking world, and Bieber beat out competition from top Tweeters Katy Perry, Psy and Rihanna to claim the Most Popular Music Solo Artist prize.
  Meanwhile, Spring Breakers star Gomez was named Most Popular Actor, ahead of male rivals Jackie Chan, Justin Timberlake and Will Smith.
  One Direction also took home a prize for Most Popular Music Group. Accepting the award via videolink, Harry Styles said, "‘We wanna say a massive thank you for the Best Social Star Group of the year award. Thank you for our Starcount award, and we will see you soon!”
  Other winners included comedienne Ellen DeGeneres, who won the prize for Most Popular TV Show, while Twilight was honoured with the Most Popular Film accolade.

  Rockers LINKIN PARK are raising funds for the Oklahoma tornado recovery effort by offering to fly one lucky fan to Los Angeles to join the band in the studio for a live recording session.
  The Numb hitmakers have been moved to do their bit for charity after at least 24 people were killed on Monday (20May13) when the natural disaster ripped through the city of Moore, levelling buildings across the area, including two elementary schools.
  The stars have invited devotees to take part in the unique competition by purchasing as many entries as they like in a bid to win the grand prize, which includes round trip flights for the winner and a friend, a stay in a four-star hotel, and access to the band's studio session.
  Entries start at $10 (£6.45) each and are available at a discounted price for bulk buys via the omaze.com website until 14 June (13).
  Funds will benefit Linkin Park's Music for Relief charity, which aims to provide aid to victims of natural disasters.
  They aren't the only celebrities to rally donations for the Oklahoma relief effort - actress/singer Kristin Chenoweth has started selling special T-shirts online to help local families and their pets, while Oklahoma native Blake Shelton is in the process of organising a star-studded benefit concert to help residents rebuild their community.   Songwriter DAVID FOSTER's Dutch wife Yolanda is now an official American after she was sworn in as U.S. citizen on Thursday (23May13).
  The model, who stars on hit reality TV show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, undertook the oath for the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services along with 4,000 others.
  Yolanda, who left her native Holland to model at the age of 16, was joined by the Grammy Award-winning songwriter and her children as she became an American at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
  After the ceremony, she told E! News, "As a little girl, it was always my dream to come to America. I am living the American dream every day. I am so thankful. We worked very hard. We worked for everything we have in our life. We worked hard to get where we are today."
  And she can't wait to vote for the first time in her life, now she can.
  She explains, "I've never voted in my life. I left Holland right when I was 16 and I wasn't eligible to vote and when I came here I wasn't allowed to vote. I'm excited to go with my husband and discuss politics."
